Dental implants are replacements for the root parts of teeth. They are placed directly into the jawbone. Natural-looking crowns or dentures are attached to the implants to form the tooth-replacement system, which can be a simple crown or a larger bridge. This can happen immediately or several weeks later, depending on your case. After the implant integrates (attaches) to your bone, it acts as a new "root" for the crown that will replace your missing tooth. A crown (cap), which is made to look like a natural tooth, is attached to the implant and fills the space left in the mouth by the missing tooth. For this procedure to work there must be enough bone in the jaw.

Restorative surgery is, in its broadest sense, the use of surgery to restore the form and function of the body maxillo-facial surgeons, plastic surgeons and otolaryngologists do reconstructive surgery on faces after trauma and to reconstruct the head and neck after cancer. Hymenorrhaphy, Tissue expansion, Autonomic Plasticity are some types of plastic surgeries. Restorative plastic surgeons use the concept of a reconstructive ladder to manage increasingly complex wounds. This ranges from very simple techniques. Biomaterials are, in their simplest form, plastic implants used to correct or replace damaged body parts.

Neural Prolotherapy is one of the most interesting and exciting advances in Medicine used to treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and a wide variety of painful conditions. The most common practical applications are for the treatment of conditions like chronic back pain, knee or hip pain, rotator cuff tears, but also for neurological problems like Migraines, Fibromyalgia and painful neuralgias (e.g. Trigeminal), & diabetic neuropathy. Neural Prolotherapy is a fascinating new medical idea because it is safe and less invasive, and it produces immediate results in treating chronic joint pain. The complete healing of the inflamed nerve and joint may take several weeks and several more treatment sessions.

With increases in the number of cancer survivors, many persons now experience cancer as a chronic disease followed by adaptation to a new reality of what is normal in their lives. In response, cancer survivorship researchers have begun attending to the multidimensional needs of survivors, including the need to promote optimal psychological adaptation and health. Now in this topic we have an ongoing discussion about the regenerative medicine for the treatment of cancer and chronic diseases that are faced by most people to ensure healthy aging, its applications, and preventive restorative techniques.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) refers to a broad range of diseases that affect the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart and blood vessels. Several companies are developing regenerative medicine technologies to rescue, replace and help repair these damaged heart tissues and revascularize heart tissue in and around areas of infarct. Several Medical members are looking into using single or mixed populations of cells, both autologous (self to self) and allogeneic (other to self) to target the effects of cardiovascular disease. Other organizations are developing advanced biologics, gene therapies and small molecule approaches that focus on the cell cycle or other pathways which may allow the regeneration of lost heart cells and tissue.

Early colonization of the infant gastrointestinal tract is not only vital for childhood health but for our entire lives with its involvement in the development of our immune and inflammatory systems. We will review factors involved with development of the microbiota starting prenatally and how this affects future health including digestion, allergies, obesity and autoimmunity. This presentation will provide an understanding of this key imbalance to provide the knowledge necessary to treat gastrointestinal disorders by restorative therapies.

Endocrine disorders are diseases related to the endocrine glands of the body. The endocrine system produces hormones, which are chemical signals sent out, or secreted, through the bloodstream. Hormones help the body regulate processes, such as appetite, breathing, growth, fluid balance, feminization and virilization, and weight control. Hormone therapy or hormonal therapy is the use of hormones in medical treatment. Treatment with hormone antagonists may also referred to as hormonal therapy or antihormone therapy.

Increased life expectancy is causing an explosion of the aging population that will continue now and in the foreseeable future. Improved quality of life at old age will demand tooth retention and consequently the need for restorative care. Retaining teeth disease free and maintaining them amidst multitude of risk factors associated with old age, is a multi- faceted challenge. This review article discusses the etiology of various dental diseases seen in older dentate population and their management keeping in mind the special needs of these matured people, so as to render a professional service that is sensitive and caring.

Traditional medicine (TM) has a long history of experience and proven successful treatment for chronic diseases and has also played an important role in the provision of health care. Patients with chronic diseases are happy to accept TM and physicians are willing to use TM to relieve patients suffering from chronic illnesses. TM products are an essential part of medications that have a predominant role in the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.

Yoga is the practice of attaining physical and mental health through meditation and physical exercise. Yoga and Physical Therapy combines the principles and practices of yoga with physical therapies to achieve our desired outcomes. In a recent research study, the largest of its kind to date, Yoga proves to be more effective than traditional exercise or an educational booklet for patients with chronic low back pain. In general, the practice of Yoga is associated with an individual who is "healthy," and "normal." Yoga thus is applied as more of a "preventive" practice rather than a "restorative" or "rehabilitative" one.

The human body’s ability to adapt, protect, and heal itself is incredible. Restorative Medicine is one kind that helps us to restore our health by natural therapies. There are many pharmaceutical companies working on the restorative medicine. Many of the companies are working by using natural products and that convert into capsules. While the achievements of modern medicine are vast, the system is flawed.  Practitioners continue to focus on suppressing symptoms versus addressing causes, leaving many patients vulnerable to repeated and/or chronic illness, with little hope of lasting recovery.

The Internal medicine covers a wide range of conditions affecting the internal organs of the body - the heart, the lungs, the liver and gastro-intestinal tract, the kidneys and urinary tract, the brain, spinal column, nerves, muscles and joints. Emergency medicine is a medical specialty involving care for undifferentiated, unscheduled patients with acute illnesses or injuries that require immediate medical attention. International Emergency Medicine is now its own subspecialty, and focuses not only on the global practice of emergency medicine but also on efforts to promote the growth of emergency care throughout the world. This session highlights the development of emergency medicine, and includes some aspects of Emergency medicine.
